7,000 Nigerians who have been taking refuge in Lake Chad since Boko Haram attacks chased them from their villages in the North, are being forced out of Niger and back to Nigeria by the Nigerien military. The deportation started on Tuesday May 5th.

Lol. Man robs bank and brags about it on Instagram

Wonders shall never end, lol. A Virginia man, Dominyk Antonio Alfonseca, (pictured above) was arrested on Monday, May 4th after he allegedly robbed a bank and posted videos and a photo of the bank robbery on Instagram. Alfonseca was arrested less than 30 minutes later.

Fuel Scarcity: We have 1.2bn litres of petrol in stock, says NNPC

 

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and its downstream subsidiary, the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), said they had 1.2 billion litres of petrol in stock. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by Mr Ohi Alegbe, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Department, NNPC.
