PDP may be heading for its final burial - David Mark


Senate President David Mark says PDP may be heading for its final burial following the mass defection and accusations and counter accusations that have rocked the party since it loss in the presidential elections. Senator Mark gave the warning while receiving members of the party's post-election committee led by Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Abuja today May 6th.

Ex-militant, Boyloaf describes Jonathan as a disappointment, says he will not welcome him back when he leaves office


Former Niger Delta militant Ebikabowei Victor Benakak aka Gen. Boyloaf has described President Jonathan as a disappointment to him and other Niger Deltans. In an interview with Premium Times, Boyloaf said Jonathan did not build any remarkable infrastructure in the Niger Delta, a region where he is from. He said he will not welcome President Jonathan to the region when he leaves office;

Bollywood star Salman Khan sentenced to five years in jail for 2002 hit-and-run

Popular Bollywood star Salman Khan was today sentenced to five years in prison for killing a homeless man in a hit-and-run in Mumbai in 2002. He hit 5 homeless people, killing one and injuring 3 of them. Prosecutors said he was drunk at the time of the crash and had just left a bar.

More women and children freed from Sambisa Forest

25 men and women have reportedly been rescued Sambisa forest. According to Al Jazeerah, Nigerian Army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Usman said today that the women and children were freed during a military operation in the forest this morning May 6th. One soldier was reportedly killed while five others sustained injuries.
