A four-man armed kidnap syndicate who has been terrorizing Aba and its environs has been smashed by Detectives attached to Omoba Division on July 19, at Ovungwu, Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State.

The syndicate had on July 18, in Osisioma Ngwa abducted one Onyemaechi Mbamaonyeukwu Ijeoma ?m?, the Managing Director of Mba Hotels Aba in his ash colour Nissan Infinity Jeep with Reg. No. GWA 807 DH and held him hostage in an uncompleted building at Umuajuju Ovungwu, Isiala Ngwa South LGA while negotiating for ransom.
